Double LP with CD Gatefold Album Jacket
for "Unholy Cadaver," the original band-name of Hammers of Misfortune.
This was a fun project. Hammers of Misfortune originally recorded their first album as Unholy Cadaver, but it only got a proper release many years later. Jon Cobbett hired me to finish the project. The front and back covers were painted by Lorraine Rath, who also drew the logo. I photographed the paintings and adjusted them for print. I drew the interior spread illustrations, credited as Son of Witz and did the overall graphic design, credited as butcherBaker. I know the double credit is weird but I had been making a distinction between my graphic design and illustration work then.
Lorraine Rath's beautiful paintings made this an easy job!
This Jacket had a die cut with notches to hold the CD version included. Also, the sleeves were solid black.

This was a fun drawing. Drawn with ink and oil pencil on paper. Colored in Adobe Draw on a first generation iPad.
